An excellent Agami Heron experience
The Agami Heron is one of the most sought-after birds in Costa Rica. These are shy, elusive birds that remain stationary along dark, thick vegetation at the water's edge and are usually very difficult to see.
But for four months out of the year (June to September), they congregate near Bijagua in one of the largest rookeries in Costa Rica -- Agami Island.
